At the onset of 2016, the fire chief of the El Cenizo VFD was suspended during a scheduled city council meeting.
Several preparingtexas.org classes in the South Texas Development Council region have been scheduled for April '16. Included that month are CERT program manager, search and rescue in the community, and public information in a disaster courses. Quad City Volunteer Fire Department EMS
Station and Apparatus
The Quad City Volunteer Fire Department EMS is housed in the Quad City Fire Station located just a few miles west of Bruni, Texas (physical address 23283 Hwy 359) east of the CBP inspection checkpoint. The station, which was completed in 2011, consists of 4 apparatus bays, a combined kitchen, dining, and office area, a bunk room where firefighters can sleep and rest, and restroom facilities. The apparatus bay area houses equipment, firefighters gear, and the apparatus. The station is staffed 24-7 by a combined team of Quad City VFD EMS and Webb County Volunteer Fire Department members and is open to the public.
